Dangerous Uncontrolled Cell Growth
Just like what the title said, cancer is considered to be an uncontrolled cell growth which happened inside the human body tissues. Cell is the building blocks of human body. Uncontrolled growth of human cell will result in some kind of additional body tissue which endangering surrounding locations by invading the surrounding body tissues. This is what differentiates cancer with tumor which does not invade.
There are two major causes which trigger cancer cell to growth in human body tissue as abnormally grown and divided cells.
The first major cause for cancer is those which are related with external factors of human body. This more likely those related with the environment and external habits such as consuming too much alcohol, tobacco, diet and obesity and many more. These are common factors which trigger cancer cell in human body.
The other factor is something that related with hereditary genetic cause and has nothing to do with external factors as described above. The presence of cancer can be suspected on the basis of symptoms, or findings on radiology. Definitive diagnosis of cancer, however, requires the microscopic examination of a biopsy specimen. Most cancers can be treated, so this is not the end of the world for those with cancer these days.
